Alumni Network

An overview of the Penn State and Smeal alumni network

Penn State has the largest Alumni Association in the country, with more than 700,000 Penn State graduates and 88,000 Smeal alumni. The strength of the Penn State alumni network lies not just in the numbers but also in the high level of engagement and loyalty of its members. As a Smeal graduate student, you can leverage the power of the alumni network during your time in the program and throughout your professional career.

Real Estate Society

The Real Estate Society (RES) is a broad-based initiative by the Smeal College of Business, Institute for Real Estate Studies, with five chapters across the United States. RES seeks to engage real estate alumni and friends of Penn State by promoting and supporting activities among our industry participants to strengthen ties with the university and its students. There are chapters in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia.

Smeal Alumni Groups

The Smeal College of Business features several alumni groups for Smeal graduates, including Smeal Business Clubs in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh.

Penn State Alumni Chapters

Alumni and friends have created hundreds of chapters in the United States and around the world as a way to network with other Penn Staters located in their area.

Networking Resources

The Penn State Alumni Association provides numerous ways for graduates to stay connected: its online alumni directory, one of the largest university-related LinkedIn Groups in the world; frequent networking events around the country; and the LionLink professional networking program.
